At Aspire, the college admissions process is not only a means to an end but also an opportunity to develop skills for success in college and beyond. Students leave our work as better writers, researchers and self-advocates.
Who we serve
We work with high schoolers applying for undergraduate degrees, current college students transferring to different institutions, and graduate school applicants.
Services Offered
-
Self Discovery
Begin with self-discovery activities to help students get to know themselves. This process of journaling and intentional conversation generates ideas for essays and grounds college research in student values, ensuring that each college is a good social and academic fit.
-
Research & Interviews
Teach students to see beyond schools’ glossy brochures via meaningful research so that they can build a balanced list of schools. Research and deadlines are clearly organized. Prepare students to have meaningful conversations with admissions officers, college students, and alumni.
-
Writing
Assist students throughout all stages of the writing process, from brainstorming to finishing touches. Coach students to showcase their uniqueness in the personal statement, additional information essays, and supplemental essays. Teach resume-writing skills for the Common App.
